Well, most recently, there's room 309, there's this scary Mexican gangster dude poking his finger in my chest. There's his hooligan kids snapping their fingers at me. There's a putrid, rotting corpse of a dead whore stuck in the springs of the bed. There's rooms blazing afire. There's a big fat needle from God knows where, stuck in my leg, infecting me with God knows what. And finally there's me, walking out the door, right fucking now. Buenas noches.
i love this quote and i love this movie! i dont think i will ever tire of seeing it. i saw it again this weekend and it brought a smile to my face!
i was bummed friday night and buried myself in the internet - working on a livejournal post for a while... when i went to post it, i got a livejournal error. i was pist!!! so, i went home and went to sleep. saturday i went into boston to the international day of action peace rally. it was excellent, it lasted about 4 hours and lifted my spirits, we must have walked 4 or 5 miles. everytime i get down and feel like i cannot do anything to change the stupid shit thats going on in the world, it always makes me feel better to get together with other people that feel the same way i do. it gives me hope that everyone isnt as fucked up as heir shrub and his entourage of idiots and slack-jawed-never-questioning-authority-or-militarism-americans.
other thoughts: fridays signing of the "Patriot act" started my downward spiral into apathy/depression. i have so many problems with this thing, i dont even know where to start.
ok, how about police now being able to enter my house and search it without a warrant and without my ever knowing... thats chilling... anyone remember the fourth ammendment?
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
how about carnivore? i see this being standard at every internet provider in american within the next year, if not sooner. beware of what you write and to who. -personally, i think its time for everyone to start using pgp, even when sending a simple "i love you".
under this terror act, fone companies must also turn over your records, no court order required and we will probably never know. so, now beware of who you call - or who calls you.
this whole law is chilling and frankly stinks of nazi intelligence gathering of their citizens back in the 30's. its scary to think that today "terrorists" may be targeted, but tomorrow-it may be protestors - then what? perhaps anyone not speaking english or some other arbitrary lithmus test. i finally saw a report on cnn today (after this has been happening for 2 weeks) about the radical right group "army of god" sending anthrax threats to abortion clinics. if you ask me, its these guys that are the more dangerous than any "terrorist" we currently seek. normally you would think that youd need another reference to decode their true intentions, but their website pretty much says it all... but, heres another. now before going around the world and enforcing our "justice" how about educating these people about the wrongs of using violence? wait, thats not the point, is it?
finally - after the 911 attacks, we heard heir strauch and the talking heads refer to it as an "act of war" - well, according to our law, it was not. but hey, when has our government ever followed the law?
finally, theres me-looking for a job. today i will apply at the, wait i cant brink myself to type it... irs - there ive done it. unless maybe at+t calls me back about being a fone monkey for them.

its now been dark for hours - the sun officially set today at 4:41 pm - how bizarre! and apparently it only gets earlier and earlier. with my sleeping schedule, i may not see much daylight for the next few months... oh well. the weather here has been nice - it froze last night, but when i wear enough clothes, its all good. its nice being out in the brisk air. certainly nicer than sweltering in the 100-degree heat of the summer. hmmm, could i be a winter person?
i got a short reply to a yahoo personal but dont know how to respond. what should i say? how long should it be? why do i think so much? i feel like such a dork when it comes to meeting new people and especially dating.
